BASIC CONFECTIONER’S SUGAR FROSTING
2 C. Confectioners sugar
Place confectioners sugar, vanilla and ½
milk in bowl and mix together. Gradually
add remaining milk, 1 t. at a time just until mix reaches consistency desired.
CONFECTIONERS SUGAR GLAZE: Add 1 T more milk (or
more) to thin frosting to a glaze consistency.
Great for doughnuts.
BUTTER FROSTING: Double the ingredients of basic and begin by creaming 6 T butter and add half sugar and vanilla. Blend well. Gradually add milk and remaining sugar alternating til well blended.
Replace vanilla with any other flavoring: Peppermint, Maple, Orange, Strawberry, etc.
MOCHA FROSTING: To Butter frosting
add ¼ c cocoa and ½ t. instant coffee powder.
To butter frosting add 2 1 oz squares of unsweetened chocolate, melted and
