Carob and Chocolate from Barry Farm Foods

We have gathered together a few of the basic ingredients needed for that special candy making project..

The Carob coatings taste very much like chocolate with just a slightly different flavor and are favored by those that can not handle or choose not to use chocolate for personal reasons but still crave that chocolate flavor.  Carob candies do NOT contain caffeine or the liqueur associated with chocolate and are generally a safe substitute for chocolate especially in doggie biscuits.  And if you are looking for a white coating, try the white yogurt coating which can be colored with veggie powders or the paste food colorings.  Don't forget the peanut flavored drops, they're yummy too.

Summer (June thru October) is here ( well not at the moment with all the snow on the ground ) and so is the "melting" problem with the candy making supplies.  We will only be shipping the yogurt coating, peanut butter coating, butterscotch coating, paramount chips, carob chips and other meltables on Mondays to reduce the possibility of melting.   However, we can not guarantee the product will arrive without melting and will not replace melted product. 

We have added to the coatings page a button for you to select an ice pack to be added to your purchase.  We recommend the purchase of at least 1 pack for every 3 lbs of product to assist in preventing melting.  Again, however, we will not replace melted product.
