Wheat germ is the embryo from which wheat
grain grows. This embryo is removed in the making white flour and is
full of nutrients.
Adding wheat germ to casseroles, baked goods, and other
foods, can improve your daily nutrient intake considerable.
WHEAT GERM COOKIES:
2 c whole wheat pastry flour*
1 c wheat germ*
1 c. butter
3/4 c cane juice crystals*
1 t orange peel, granulated*
1 t. Spicery Shoppe vanilla flavoring*
1/2 t. sea salt*
3/4 c. wheat germ*
Combine all ingredients except last 3/4 c wheat germ.
Roll into 1" balls and roll them in the 3/4 c
Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350ºF for 12-15 min.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen
