Pure semi-sweet chocolate
produced by Peter's Chocolates (formerly Nestle's).
This is the
perfect chocolate for all your candy making needs.
CHOCOLATE-GILDED DANISH SUGAR CONES
1/2 c butter
1/2 c fructose
1/2 c unbleached all-purpose
2 T egg whites
1 t. Spicery Shoppe
1/2 c Semisweet
2 T butter
Preheat oven to 400°f. Generously
grease 4 cookie sheets.
Beat butter and fructose in large bowl til
light and fluffy. Blend in flour.
In separate bowl, beat egg whites til
frothy and blend in butter mixture along with vanilla
Using measuring teaspoon, place 4 mounds of
dough 4" apart on each cookie sheet. Spread mound with back of
spoon dipped in water to 3" diameter. Baking 1 sheet at a time,
bake 5-6 minutes or til edges are just barely golden. (DO NOT OVERBAKE OR
COOKIES BECOME TOO CRISP TOO SOON).
Remove from oven and quickly loosen each
cookie from sheet with spatula. Shape each into cone. Repeat
with rest of dough.
When all cookies are baked and cooled, melt
chocolate and butter in small bowl over hot water. Stir til
smooth. Dip flared end of each cookie in chocolate. Let stand
til chocolate set. Makes 16 cookies.
