The
traditional porridge of Scotland.
This is a stone ground
oatmeal not rolled.
RECIPE
Scottish
Porridge
(Serves 1)
1/4
c Scottish Oatmeal
1 c water
pinch of sea salt
Put water in a pan, bring to the boil.
Sprinkle in the oatmeal, stirring until it comes to the boil. Simmer
gently for 5 - 15 mins. and add salt for last few mins. of simmering.
Serve
in the traditional Scottish way with milk or cream. Porridge can also be
served with Honey, Brown
Sugar, and Dried Fruits
