Whole wheat Farina is ground
wheat berries.
The whole grain is ground so that none of the
nutritional value in the wheat escapes.
This is a "stick-to-your-ribs" hot
cereal that is great on those cold winter mornings.
RECIPE
Farina Dumplings
2 eggs beaten
2 T melted butter
¼ t. sea salt
1 c whole wheat farina
1/3 c milk
Combine eggs, butter,
salt and farina in a bowl and mix well.
Add milk to form a stiff dough.
Drop by spoonful into kettle of boiling soup, broth, or salted
water. Cover and cook about
10 minutes or til tender. Test
by tearing one dumpling apart with 2 forks.
Serve with soup or with melted butter, sour cream or yogurt if
desired.
