The Maple
Flavoring imparts strong maple flavor
in any recipe.
Without alcohol as a base, these flavorings work
well for those suffering from Candida.
RECIPE
MAPLE MERINGUE SQUARES
1 1/4 c. whole
wheat pastry flour
1 t. baking powder
pinch of sea salt
1/2 c. butter
1 c. cane juice crystals
2 eggs, separated
1/2 t. Spicery Shoppe maple flavoring
1/2 c finely chopped pecans
2 c brown sugar firmly packed
Blend together flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream together butter,
sugar and egg yolks one at a time.
Then add dry ingredients and
maple flavoring. Mix well.
Spread dough 1/4" thick on well greased cookie
sheet. And sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Beat egg whites til frothy.
Beat in brown sugar and
spread over nuts.
Bake at 350º F for 30 minutes.
Cut into
squares when cool.
Makes 30-45 squares.
