List of Ingredients


Quinoa (pronounced “KEEN-WA”) is a grain similar to Millet and Amaranth. Originally from South America, it is also gluten-free. 

Nutritionally Quinoa is oil rich and twice the protein of rice. It will expand 4 times its bulk in cooking.



1 c. quinoa 
2 c. boiling water 
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 c. raisins

Rinse quinoa. Drain. Place quinoa in a skillet over medium heat. 

Shake pan occasionally while roasting. 

In about 15 minutes grain should be dry and golden brown. 

Combine remaining ingredients. 

Cover and reduce heat. 

Cook until liquid is absorbed, about 15-20 min.
