Sweet marjoram has
a sweeter, spicier taste than oregano. The flavor is
pervasive and so should be used with discretion.
Marjoram is a basic herb in Italian cooking,
spaghetti sauce, poultry stuffing and sausages.
Marjoram makes one of the best herb butters.
Use Marjoram on hot vegetables, squash, potatoes, lima or green
beans. Use in egg dishes stews, soups, gravies and with fish or
meats.
Cultivated in ancient Egypt, Shakespeare compared
it to a "virtuous gentlewoman". Marjoram is used as a wash
