Strawberries are the first ingredient
in our sugar-free strawberry jam. Just
like grandma, we select only the best berries.
We cook and puree them. Then
we add a little Xylitol* instead of sugar, a
little lemon juice and some pectin and cook some more til we have jam.
Then we bottle the jam and seal with a lid not wax as grandma did. And you can’t tell the difference.
We don’t use any artificial colors,
preservatives, or corn syrup in our sugar-free Strawberry Jam.
It is great on toast or muffins. We’ve used it as a topping for ice cream, as the middle
icing in a 2-layer cake, and for jam thumbprint cookies. Top your oatmeal or cream of wheat with a little dollop of
strawberry jam.
* Xylitol
is an all-natural sugar substitute, that tastes and looks like sugar with
no aftertaste. It preserves
the natural flavor you remember in Grandma’s Strawberry Jam without the
sugar side effects for diabetics. Tests
with customers at a local farmers market resulted in 9 out of 10 selecting
the sugar free jam as having the sugar. That’s how good it tastes.
