List of Ingredients

Fructose and lactose monohydrate.

Whey Low Type D Granular is a one-for-one table sugar replacement for type 1 and 2 diabetics, who need to carefully control after-meal blood sugar levels.

The patented blend of all natural sugars, when used in combination with dietary carbohydrates, is regarded as low-calorie and low-glycemic, as this blend requires less insulin for conversion and reduces the serum glucose levels by 70 to 80% compared to sucrose.

Carob Chip Cookies
3/4 cup Whey Low Granular or Whey Low Type D
2-1/4 cups Whole Wheat pastry flour
3/4 cup Whey Low Gold brown sugar blend
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup Whey Low Powder sugar blend
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1 cup butter (2 sticks) softened
1 cup unsweetened coconut* (optional)
1 tsp. Spicery Shoppe vanilla
1 cup malt sweetened carob chips
1 large egg

Heat oven to 360 degrees F. Beat Whey Low Granular and Gold, butter, vanilla, and egg in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Dough will be stiff. Stir in coconut* and chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool 1 to 2 minutes on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Yields about 2 dozen cookies.

*Coconut should be unsweetened. Put coconut in a container with Whey Low Powder. Place lid on container. Shake well. Then add to recipe as described.
