Instructions for Preparation
To use as a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water
over 1 teaspoon of herb, cover and steep
for 3 to 5 minutes. |
Glycyrrhiza
glabra
Licorice root is naturally
sweet and anise-like in flavor . Licorice root tastes great on its own or
with a bit of honey, lemon and fresh ginger. It is a good thirst quencher.
Not for prolonged or excessive use except under supervision
of a qualified health practitioner. Prolonged use may cause
potassium depletion and sodium retention.
Not for use by persons
with hypertension, hypokalemia, edema, cirrhosis or liver disorders and
diabetes.
Not recommended for use during pregnancy and
while nursing.
