Instructions for Preparation
To use as a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water
over 1 teaspoon of herb, cover and steep
for 3 to 5 minutes.

impetiginosa
This herb is not currently recommended for
children.
It is generally safe to drink pau
d'arco tea ;although, too much, however, may cause nausea.
Pau
d'arco should be discontinued before surgery because of the danger of
excessive bleeding.
Studies of pau d'arco in humans have noted
reactions such as severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, anemia,
and bleeding. Administering vitamin K stopped the bleeding.
The fact that taheebo causes vitamin K-reversible
bleeding strongly suggests that it would interact with anticoagulants such
as Coumadin
